I must apologise for my recent neglect over the past few months. Unfortunately I have had a severely hectic time!! Basically to fill you in, in a nutshell I have completed my university degree, and graduated, and have been stuck waitressing through the busy holiday period. I would like to think that cramming and stressing to graduate is an acceptable reason for my neglect. I do have some things I would like to share within the next few days, and start up my blogging once more, if of course, you will still allow me to do so with all of my recent blogging failures!
So after getting back from the Philippines I had an art day with Sally so that I can once again get used to handling a lovely DSLR. here is what I have so far. it's particularly chilled. it was a fun day though :)
It appears that my nelgect for this page has continued for longer than I would have hoped. My life has been hectic to say the least - having come back from living in the Philippines trapsing across Europe visint long lost friends and penpals (you can read about it all here), coming home to uni, placements (I am now working with people who have experienced sexual assault or domestic violence), writing research papers, putting my waitress uniform back on on nights and weekends, working within turbulent family dramas and just trying to adjust back to a new world. Not to say that Australia is new to me at all, but after coming back from living in a developing country, I have come back with new eyes and new perspectives which make it hard to fit exactly where i once did.
Needless to say I have been ridiculously busy... and for this, I am sorry.
So please accept my token of apology with this song. It makes me happy and feel free ...That and Lisa Mitchell is pretty much amazing. just saying.

The smell of a new book compares nothing to the smell of a really old book. really old books have that combined smell of the people who have once owned and explored the stories within the pages, and the smell of bookstores. But regardless of age, i find comfort within the poetry scrawled across the pages. I find comfort within the timeless plot of romance and sadness. Like a big warm blanket, i am enveloped by a world of chivalry and passion, and am transported to another mind set.
Now excuse me while I go forget all woes and indulge in something amazing.
