yep, i stalked them once because they are cool.

now, my aim is not to sound too much like a crazy stalker freak, but once upon a time Sally and I found this amazing band, nobody quite knew who they were so we like to claim them as our own. we joined in the art of hippy and reggae dancing (and like to think we have it down pretty well) and once travelled far and wide to the mystical land that is Ballarat. It was a great trip, we peered through windows to watch them practice (which is when they saw us and possible were a little worried, hehe) and then spent the night in the Karova lounge putting our epic dance skills into action with two middle aged fans. we even mustered up the courage to talk to them, and now i have myself a signed cd. Sally explains this marvellously in her blog story of that fateful night right here :)
Then there were the times where they played at both my university, as well as Sally's and once again we were able to show the city of melbourne our uber cool moves. Now they are a bit bigger, and we have stalked them less, but fate shone down on us last saturday evening, with me not having to work and tickets still available at the corner hotel to see our beloved band.

..Yes, i am talking about the one and only Bonjah!
They were amazing, and i remember all the reasons why they were top on our stalking list for some time. While there was less room to bust a move, and more hippies whipping us in the face with there extra long dreaded hair, we still gave it our all with head boppage.

Then they amazingly did a song with the two opening acts Daniel Lee Kendall (who has the most amazing dance moves that can be likened to those of Napoleon Dynamite and possible a robot - yes that does make me love him more) and the Joe Kings. The most amazing song choice for this supergroup was ofcourse "I touch myself" and there is no possible way i could love these guys anymore. It was such a wonderful night, lets do it again!

However the next morning i had to wake up early to set up a market stall at the most wonderful Camberwell Markets (full of trinkets and vintage fair) with the lovely miss Emmah, the sun was shining and you knew that spring was just around the corner (and voila, here it is...the spring has sprung, the grass is ris, i wonder where the birdies is??)

Here is some wonderful Bonjah tuneage so you may also hippy dance your way into this lovely spring weather.

And some of the amazingness that is Daniel Lee Kendall :)

Happy Spring!!

Love always, Ruby.
